Use selected materials and surfaces in the bathroom with RONAL Bathrooms

The centrepiece.
The bathroom of the future is no longer just about fulfilling daily needs, but about meeting high demands in terms of comfort, relaxation and well-being. Like the kitchen, the bathroom has become the centrepiece of modern living environments.
Salone del Mobile - 4 RONAL Bathrooms design concepts.
The Salone del Mobile is one of the most important furniture and design trade fairs in the world. In 2024, RONAL Bathrooms presented 4 concepts that reflect current bathroom trends: Colour, Metal, Space and Wellness. All concepts have one thing in common: materials and surfaces play a key role in bathroom design.
Combine materials.
Metallic versus organic, matt versus glossy, open-pored versus closed, flat versus three-dimensional. The creative combination of different materials, surfaces and textures creates visual arcs of tension: for example, when the brushed metal look of the META shower solutions corresponds with the warm metallic surfaces of the ALMAZA bathroom furniture. With RONAL Bathrooms, you can design homogeneous bathroom and wellness landscapes in which you can emphasise even the smallest details.
Bathroom as a time machine?
Different materials also symbolise different eras, craft traditions and regional identity. For example, when historical wall structures such as quarry stone or brick walls enter into dialogue with the warm metallic furniture fronts of ALMAZA bathroom furniture, the bathroom becomes an unmistakable time machine.
The GALYA freestanding designer bathtub harmonises perfectly with natural materials such as wooden floors or clay walls. With its flat design and textured, non-slip surface, the AIR floor-level shower tray can be integrated into restored floors, for example. Natural materials and modern surfaces enhance each other. Combine different RONAL Bathrooms products such as freestanding bathtubs, wellness bathtubs, designer bathroom furniture or shower trays with materials and surfaces that are already on site to create a bathroom ambience that emphasises its origins with new design accents.
Three-dimensional surfaces.
The Rigo furniture concept offers different 3D-structured furniture fronts. The interplay of light and shadow changes the visual effect of the furniture surfaces and creates a unique bathroom design. With an integrated washbasin or as a countertop washbasin solution, Rigo furniture has a horizontal handle in the same colour as the worktop.
Material-appropriate and functional planning.
In the bathroom, both aesthetics and functionality should be considered when choosing materials. For the floor in the shower area, the use of non-slip surfaces is a matter of course. However, the combination of materials is also about technical compatibility. Do the materials work differently? How does metal behave when transitioning to wood or acrylic? Craftsmanship is part of the equation when developing long-term and sustainable bathroom solutions.
Tips
Tips for materials and surfaces when realising the modular RONAL Bathrooms bathroom solutions.
Living design.
Bathrooms are not showrooms; we want to live in them. This means that we spend a considerable amount of ‘me-time’ in the bathroom. We plan and design materials and surfaces to optimise their long-term use. If we succeed in creating references in the bathroom to the architectural style of the entire building, the bathroom design quickly becomes a comprehensive overall concept.
Personal wellness area.
The bathroom is increasingly being transformed into a personal wellness temple. What sounds ambitious at first is a real development that has been proven by numerous studies. Personal well-being is an invaluable asset. A personal wellness area that can be used all year round is simply a must.
